Dandelion field
Patrick Jacobs, born in 1971 in Merced, California, received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1999. He lives and works in Brooklyn and is represented by Pierogi Gallery. This work, depicting a living room with radiator, blurrs perceptual distinctions between two-dimensional and constructed reality. Set behind a window of glass lenses, the foreshortened diorama occupies the hidden architecture of the gallery wall, offering the viewer a magical glimpse of a domestic landscape.
